Career
After supporting work in Terrence Malick’s “The Thin Red Line” and Spike Lee’s “Summer of Sam,” Roman Polanski cast him as Wladyslaw Szpilman in “The Pianist,” for which he won Best Actor. He became a recurring collaborator of Wes Anderson and won a second Oscar for Brady Corbet’s “The Brutalist.”
