Born Delorez Florence Griffith in Los Angeles, she attended UCLA and earned silver in the 200m at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics.
Career
At the 1988 US Olympic Trials she set the 100m world record. At the Seoul Olympics that year she won the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m relay golds and added a silver in the 4x400m. She retired in 1989.
