Origins
Hyundai Motor Company was founded on December 29, 1967, by Chung Ju-yung in Seoul, South Korea. The company’s first model, the Cortina, was produced in cooperation with Ford in 1968, and the first Hyundai-designed car, the Pony, was launched in 1975.
Products
Hyundai produces the Elantra and Sonata sedans, the Tucson, Santa Fe, and Palisade SUVs, and the Ioniq family of electric vehicles. The Genesis luxury division produces premium models such as the G80 and GV80.
