Origins
Lenovo was founded in Beijing in November 1984 as Legend by Liu Chuanzhi and a team of engineers from the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The company rebranded as Lenovo in 2004 and acquired IBM’s personal computer business in 2005.

Lenovo is best known for the ThinkPad business laptop line and the IdeaPad consumer laptops. Other product lines include the Yoga 2-in-1 convertibles, Legion gaming laptops, ThinkCentre desktops, and Motorola-branded smartphones.
