Origins
Nestlé was founded in 1866 by pharmacist Henri Nestlé in Vevey, Switzerland, with the introduction of an infant cereal called Farine Lactee. In 1905, Nestlé merged with the Anglo-Swiss Condensed Milk Company to form what became one of the world’s largest food companies.
