Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Bacon left home at seventeen to study at the Circle in the Square Theatre School in New York.
Career
He came to attention in Barry Levinson’s “Diner,” then starred in Herbert Ross’s “Footloose” and Joel Schumacher’s “Flatliners.” He worked with Oliver Stone in “JFK,” Ron Howard in “Apollo 13,” Rob Reiner in “A Few Good Men,” and Clint Eastwood in “Mystic River.” He led the Fox series “The Following” and continues in film, television, and theatre.
