He wrote and directed “Reservoir Dogs,” “Pulp Fiction,” “Jackie Brown,” the “Kill Bill” pair, “Death Proof,” “Inglourious Basterds,” “Django Unchained,” “The Hateful Eight,” and “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.” As an actor he cast himself in supporting roles in his own films and appeared in Robert Rodriguez’s “From Dusk Till Dawn,” “Destiny Turns on the Radio,” and the Letterman-style cameo “Sleep with Me.”
