He starred in Gary Ross’s “Pleasantville,” Lasse Hallstrom’s “The Cider House Rules,” and Ross’s “Seabiscuit,” then anchored Sam Raimi’s “Spider-Man” trilogy from 2002 to 2007. He played George Sr. Khoja in Jim Sheridan’s “Brothers” and Nick Carraway in Baz Luhrmann’s “The Great Gatsby,” and returned briefly as Spider-Man in “Spider-Man: No Way Home” (2021).
