Origins
Smirnoff was founded in Moscow in 1864 by Pyotr Arsenievich Smirnov. After the Russian Revolution the family fled, and Vladimir Smirnov restarted operations abroad. The U.S. brand was sold to Rudolph Kunett in 1934 and then to Heublein, which made it a household name.
Products
The flagship product is Smirnoff No. 21 vodka. The portfolio also includes Smirnoff Ice malt beverage, a range of flavored vodkas, and premium expressions such as Smirnoff Black.
