Born in Hayward, California, to wrestler Rocky Johnson and Ata Maivia of the Anoa’i wrestling family, Johnson played college football at the University of Miami before joining the WWF in 1996.
Career
After becoming a top draw in professional wrestling, he transitioned to film with “The Mummy Returns” and “The Scorpion King.” He joined “The Fast and the Furious” franchise as Luke Hobbs, voiced Maui in Disney’s “Moana,” and led the rebooted “Jumanji” films. He produced “Black Adam” through his company Seven Bucks Productions.
