Background
Born in Bombay into the Chopra film family, Uday is the son of Yash Chopra and brother of Aditya Chopra. He trained in the United States at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts before joining Yash Raj Films.
Career
He made his lead debut in Yash Chopra’s “Mohabbatein” (2000) and starred in lighter romantic comedies and the “Dhoom” action trilogy as comic-relief mechanic Ali. As a producer through YRF Entertainment, he helped finance international titles including Olivier Dahan’s “Grace of Monaco.”
