Background
Born in Viernheim, Hesse, West Germany, Tukur studied at the State Academy of Music in Stuttgart and worked with director Peter Zadek at the Schauspielhaus Hamburg.
Career
He played Stasi officer Anton Grubitz in Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck’s Oscar-winning “The Lives of Others,” then continued in Costa-Gavras’s “Amen” and Michael Haneke’s “The White Ribbon.” He has played commissioner Felix Murot on Germany’s flagship “Tatort” since 2010 and continues in stage and concert work as a musician with the Rhythmus Boys.
