Background
Born in Newark, New Jersey, O’Neal played college basketball at LSU before being drafted first overall by the Orlando Magic in 1992.
Career
He played for the Magic, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, Phoenix Suns, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Boston Celtics. He won three consecutive titles with the Lakers from 2000 to 2002, earning Finals MVP each time, and added a fourth with Miami in 2006.
