Origins

KFC, originally Kentucky Fried Chicken, was founded on September 24, 1952, by Harland Sanders in North Corbin, Kentucky. Sanders developed his Original Recipe of 11 herbs and spices in the 1930s and began franchising the concept in the 1950s.

KFC is best known for its Original Recipe fried chicken. The menu also features Hot Wings, Popcorn Chicken, the Zinger sandwich, chicken tenders, and side dishes such as mashed potatoes, coleslaw, and biscuits.
