Concept
Set on the bodies of two slumbering colossi, the mechanical Mechonis and the organic Bionis, Xenoblade Chronicles follows Shulk, who wields the Monado sword and can see glimpses of the future.
Combat
Battles use a real-time party system with auto-attacks and selectable Arts. Future-vision lets Shulk warn allies of incoming attacks, enabling preemptive evasion or counter setups.
Legacy
Originally released in Japan in 2010, Xenoblade Chronicles came to North America in 2012 after a fan campaign. The franchise has since expanded to Xenoblade Chronicles 2, 3, and various spin-offs, totaling over 9 million units sold.
