A 1990 point-and-click adventure by Sierra On-Line in which King Graham of Daventry travels to the land of Serenia to rescue his castle and family from the evil wizard Mordack.

King’s Quest V replaced Sierra’s text parser with a point-and-click icon interface, becoming one of the first major adventure games to adopt the mouse-driven design popularized by LucasArts.
Visuals
The CD-ROM version used 256-color VGA backgrounds and full voice acting, a first for the franchise. Roberta Williams designed the puzzles around a series of magical tokens and trades.
Legacy
King’s Quest V topped DOS sales charts in 1991 and pushed point-and-click adventure design forward. The franchise continued through King’s Quest VIII and was rebooted as an episodic game by The Odd Gentlemen in 2015.
