A 1993 NES platformer by HAL Laboratory in which the pink puffball Kirby copies enemy abilities to fix the broken Star Rod and restore Dream Land's fountain.
Origin
Kirby’s Adventure was the first Kirby title to introduce the Copy Ability system, letting Kirby gain swords, fire, beams, and other powers by swallowing specific enemies.
Gameplay
Beyond the platforming, the game introduced minigames like Quick Draw and Egg Catcher. Late-game stages reveal the King Dedede subplot and the true antagonist Nightmare.
Legacy
Released near the end of the NES lifecycle, Kirby’s Adventure pushed the hardware with parallax scrolling and detailed sprite work. The 2002 Game Boy Advance remake, Nightmare in Dream Land, brought the game to a new generation.
