Born Marcos Evangelista de Moraes in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Cafu started in the youth ranks of Sao Paulo FC and made his first-team debut in 1989.
Career
He played for Sao Paulo, Real Zaragoza, Palmeiras, Roma, and AC Milan, winning the Serie A title at Roma in 2001 and the Champions League with Milan in 2007. He captained Brazil in their 2002 World Cup triumph.
