Born in Chuo-ku, Osaka, Japan to a Japanese mother and Haitian father, Naomi Osaka moved to the United States at age three and trained in Florida from a young age.

Career

She turned professional in 2013 and broke through by beating Serena Williams in the 2018 US Open final. She added the 2019 and 2021 Australian Open titles and reached world number one in singles in early 2019.
