Setting
BattleTech inherits the tabletop universe created by FASA in 1984. Players take command of the Aurigan Restoration during a succession war, accepting contracts to fund mech salvage and crew salaries.
Combat
Battles use hex grids with heat management, called shots, and morale. Heavy mechs trade speed for armor and weapon hardpoints, while light mechs rely on cover and movement.
