A 2009 survival horror game by Zombie Studios based on the Saw film series, in which Detective David Tapp escapes the asylum traps of the serial killer Jigsaw.
Setting
Tapp, presumed dead between Saw and Saw II, awakens to discover Jigsaw has placed a reverse bear trap on his head. The asylum is a labyrinth of victims to save and traps to disarm.
Gameplay
Players manage limited inventory of pickups while solving Jigsaw’s puzzles and engaging in melee combat against fellow victims. Choices determine which side characters survive.
Legacy
Saw was a modest commercial success and was followed by Saw II: Flesh and Blood in 2010. The series ended after the second game, but the games remain notable for tying into the broader film canon.
