What ophthalmologists do
Ophthalmologists diagnose and treat eye disease, prescribe glasses and contact lenses, and perform surgery for cataract, glaucoma, retina, cornea, and oculoplastic conditions. They evaluate vision changes that may signal systemic diseases such as diabetes or hypertension.
Training path
